December 2008

Boxing on Park Lane
Jonny raised a record amount auctioneering from the boxing ring at The SBS Charity Boxing Dinner. The event was a truly exceptional night which saw The Army take on The Navy and Jonny, in his usual style, no less energetic than the boxing bouts which proceeded him. Supporters of the SBS in attendance on the night were Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Lewis Moody.

Christmas in Kenya
Jonny and his family got away from the British winter and spent Christmas in Kenya basking in the sun on the glorious Diani beach. He spent the festive period with his two brothers and their respective families along with their 82-year-old mother.

Sportsman's Christmas Lunch
Wearing his compulsory Christmas hat, Jonny auctioneered at Lawrence Dallaglio's Christmas Lunch in aid of the PPF and the newly formed Lawrence Dallaglio Foundation with the company of Jason Leonard, Danny Cipriani and Darren Gough. The event held on the last Friday before Christmas set everyone up in a festive mood.

100 100's
Jonny was the auctioneer at Mark Ramprakash's final Testimonial Year event, held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel to pay tribute to the England Cricketers' fantastic career. With England cricket stars such as Mark Butcher and Alec Stewart in the audience, Jonny raised vital funds for Mark's chosen charities.

The first day of Christmas
Jonny kicked off the festive season hosting and auctioneering at a prestigious Christmas Charity Dance, held at The Hilton, Park Lane. The highlight of the evening was a Q&A session with all time top F1 racing driver, and the only ever consecutive F1 and Kart Series World Champion, Nigel Mansell. Attendees included the renowned BBC newsreader Michael Burke, and the evening raised valuable funds for charity.

Charity Sportsman's Dinner
Jonny was called to the Liverpool Arena Convention Centre to MC and Auctioneer for The Lords Taverners Sportsman's Dinner. Guest speakers included 1966 World Cup Winner Jack Charlton and snooker star Steve Davis. The evening's auction was a huge success raising over £30,000 for charity.

November 2008

Steve Thompson Testimonial
Jonny helped raise over £40,000 for charity as he auctioneered for Steve Thompson's only Testimonial dinner. The evening was attended by rugby stars past and present including World Cup winners Martin Johnson, Will Greenwood and Matt Dawson, followed by entertainment from Bevarly Knight.

The Strictly Ball
Jonny auctioneered at a Strictly Come Dancing themed charity dinner for Mark Ramprakash's Testimonial at The Hilton, Park Lane. Attendees included stars from Strictly Come Dancing, Ronnie Corbett, Linda Lusardi and Virginia McKenna, with the auction raising £50,000 for charity.

Spirit of Cuba
Jonny auctioneered at the Cuban Themed Rainbow Trust Annual Charity Ball attended by a range of celebrities including Vanessa Phelps, Linford Christie, Mark Ramprakash and Neil and Christine Hamilton. The auction was a great success, totalling more than hoped for, and raising valuable funds for the children's charity.

Question Time at Lord's
Jonny visited Lord's, the home of English Cricket for ESPN's Interactive Sport Summit where he acted as question master for a Q&A session with England Cricketing greats Mark Ramprakash and Graham Gooch, in the iconic media 'pod'.


October 2008

Rugby's Got Talent!
Jonny auctioneered at 'Rugby's Got Talent', the first event held at the new Rose Suite, Twickenham. He was joined by the likes of England Manager Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio, Danny Cipriani and Austin Healey, where the auction helped raise over £90,000 for the event's chosen charities.

Rugby Dinner
Jonny acted as auctioneer for a prestigious 130th Anniversary Rugby Dinner attended by England Rugby stars Nick Easter and Andy Ripley, with the auction surpassing expectation raising valuable funds for the club and its chosen charities.  

Emerging Markets Benefit Ball
Jonny was both host, and auctioneer to over 1,000 guests at this annual Fundraising event, held at Old Billingsgate. The event raised significant funds for the four chosen charities.

Auctioneer at Arsenal
Jonny was the chosen auctioneer at a fundraising dinner held at the stunning Emirates Stadium in the company of cricket and dancing hero Mark Ramprakash, and England Football legend Rodney Marsh.

The Strictly Childline Ball
Jonny enjoyed an evening dining among the Strictly Come Dancing guys and girls, as well as Auctioneering at the Strictly Childline Ball, held at the Park Lane Hotel, Piccadilly. With Jonny's help the evening raised over £240,000 for the charity.

Baseball at Taunton
Jonny had a chance to free himself from the script and display his live audience skills as he commentated at Marcus Trescothick's Testimonial Charity Baseball match, hosted at Somerset County Cricket Club, where a lively crowd gathered to witness Trescothick's Bangers take on the GB National Team.

September 2008

Howzat!
Jonny was auctioneer at the annual PCA Dinner, awarding the countries' finest cricket stars of the past, present and future. Jonny raised over £50,000 for the PCA Benevolent Fund accompanied by stars such as Michael Vaughan, Darren Gough and Alec Stewart.

Golf in the Sun
Jonny jetted off to host a charity auction over a 2-day Golf Classic in Vila Sol, Portugal. He auctioneered during the gala dinner, attended by the likes of Sir Geoff Hurst and Pat Jennings. After an exhausting trip out, and an early start on the golf course, Jonny was extremely glad the nature of the event prevented the Oklahoma rule from being enforced!

The Hogg and Duck Dinner
Jonny employed his auctioneering talents to deliver another witty performance to the crowd at Matthew Hoggard's 'Hogg and Duck dinner', which took place at Lord's Cricket Ground. Among attendees at the charity testimonial year event were cricket legends Darren Gough, Mark Ramprakash, Steve Harmison and Geoffry Boycott.

Jonny and the X-Factor
Jonny was in charge of proceedings as Master of Ceremonies at a Charity ball this month held at the Dorchester, Park Lane. He also lead the auction with his usual wit and charm helping raise significant funds for the charity. X-factor star Andy Abraham was also invited as Special Guest Star, as well as performing a special set to entertain guests including the Arsenal Legend Frank McClintoch.

Pub Quiz on Park Lane
Jonny performed auctioneer duties at Jason Leonard's annual charity event at the Grosvenor House Hotel, which this year followed a pub quiz theme. Jonny maintained the energy of the evening with yet another humorous and dynamic performance, helping to raise over £70,000 for the Alistair Hignell Trust. Alongside host for the evening Austin Healey, many other famous rugby names were in attendance including Jerry Guscott, Simon Shaw, Nick Easter, Phil Vickery, Will Greenwood and James Haskell.

Cricket Charity Dinner
At this charity gala dinner celebrating one of the games of the Lashings World XI season, Jonny lead the auction with his usual enthusiastic panache. The evening, hosted at the Kensington Roof Gardens, helped to raise significant funds for charity. In attendance were various cricketing legends including Alvin Kallicharran, Devon Malcolm and Phillip DeFreitas, as well as boxing legend Lloyd Honeyghan.

Salon Privé Sportsman's Dinner
As part of the annual luxury super car show, Jonny hosted the evening with sporting greats such as Lawrence Dallaglio, Alec Stewart and Karen Pickering to test out their sporting knowledge at the Salon Privé Sportsman's Dinner. Jonny was also auctioneer for the evening, raising vital funds for the Professional Players' Federation.

Champions Dinner
Jonny took on the role of auctioneer for this sporting charity gala evening held at Lords Cricket Ground, raising funds for the NSPCC and the Teenage Cancer Trust and was joined by a host of sporting personalities including Phil Tufnell, Matt Dawson and members of the England Cricket Team.

Golfing with Sir Bobby Robson
Jonny was auctioneer at the Sir Bobby Robson Golf Classic held in Vila Sol, Portugal in aid of the Bobby Robson Foundation and was joined by footballing legends Alan Shearer, Ray Clemence and Kenny Dalglish amongst others to raise funds for this charity close to Sir Bobby's heart.

Family holiday to Greece
Jonny took a well-deserved break in Greece with his family following a very busy year and in anticipation of the busy months yet to come.

August 2008

Mastermind with Hoggy and Freddie
Jonny, acting as auctioneer, went down a storm at the Mastermind themed dinner held at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in honour of Matthew Hoggard's testimonial raising over £50,000 for his chosen charities. Both Hoggy and Freddie Flintoff, along with other members of the England Cricket Team including Monty Panesar and Paul Collingwood took part in a very entertaining Mastermind Quiz to support the evening.

Ramps the Record Holder
Jonny was auctioneer for Mark Ramprakash's gala benefit evening at the Oval in support of Mark's chosen charities, CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund, the Anthony Nolan Trust and Born Free. Mark had only a few days earlier recorded his 100 hundreds in County Cricket becoming the 25th cricketer in history to do so, ensuring a very successful evening.

Warm Up to the Final Test
Jonny demonstrated his fantastic Q&A hosting skills, holding a session prior to the final test between England and South Africa with cricketing legends Alec Stewart and Mike Gatting. Jonny and his panel warmed up guests of the PCA for not only the final test but also the first test of the New England captain, Kevin Pietersen.

June 2008

Property's Got Talent
At this property industry event, now in its 7th year, Jonny became Simon Cowell at a function that has gained a reputation as one of the wildest nights in the industry calendar. Jonny hosted a talent show, which raised over £130,000 for their nominated charity, Land Aid.

Hedge Fund Fight Night
Jonny was ducking and diving in the company of boxing greats such as Barry McGuigan, John Conti and John H Stracey and raised over £50,000 for the charity of the evening, Operation Smile.

May 2008

Chelsea, Chelsea!
Following Chelsea qualifying for the UEFA Champions League Final, Jonny auctioneered at their Official Annual Player of the Year dinner at Stamford Bridge in the company of squad members such as John Terry and Joe Cole.

NSPCC's Rugby Night
Jonny was both host and auctioneer at an event for the NSPCC and hosted a topical Q&A between rugby legends Martin Johnson CBE and Jonny Wilkinson OBE before raising much needed money for the charity.

Marie Curie's Brain Game
Jonny was auctioneer at the Marie Curie Cancer Care Brain Game at the Brewery, with the likes of Bill Turnbull, Karen Hardy, John Altman, David Gower, Neil and Christine Hamilton and Tony Christie, raising over £40,000 for the cause.

Saracens Rugby
At this dinner, on the evening of Richard Hill MBE's final professional rugby game, Jonny was the auctioneer for the event raising £45,000 for charity.

Happy Birthday Tommy!
Jonny's son Tommy has just turned 5

Royalty and Lords
Jonny was back as auctioneer, this time at a Legends Dinner with Sir David Frost, raising over £50,000 for charity in the company of Stuart Rose, Victoria Wood, Richard Stilgoe and HRH Princess Michael of Kent

The BACA Awards
Jonny was Master of Ceremonies at the annual BACA Awards Lunch at The Plaisters Hall and when the top raffle prize was donated back, Jonny used his auctioneering skills and raised an additional £1,250 for their charity.

Major League Baseball is back on Channel 5 with Jonny yet again in the hot seat as the show's host

Family Reunion
Jonny and his brothers took a trip to Kenya on a reunion trip, the first time in 52 years they had been on holiday together.

February 2008

Jonny and the Sugababes
Back at The Dorchester, Jonny was yet again called on to MC and auctioneer, this time at the Sporting Chance Dinner in aid of rugby star Phil Greening's Sporting Chance Foundation. Over £80,000 was raised. Jonny's performance was followed by music from the Sugababes and Rick Parfitt Jnr and the RPJ Rock Band

Marina Dalglish
Jonny continued with his auctioneering, this time at the Marina Dalglish Event in the company of Alan Hansen and with Rick Parfitt Jnr performing, raising over £100,000 for the Marina Dalglish Foundation

Love in the air!
Following on from the success of the Marina Dalglish event, Jonny took the stage as auctioneer at ex-England football star Denis Wise's Valentines Ball, raising over £40,000 for Charity, in the company of celebrities such as British actor Ray Winstone

Auctioning for Royalty
Jonny demonstrated his skills as both MC and auctioneer at the Snowsport GB Dinner held at The Dorchester, with stars such as Chemmy Alcott and Andy Noble in attendance along with HRH Prince Edward. The event raised over £30,000 to support the British Alpine Ski Team and the British Snowboard Team in their quest for Olympic glory in Vancouver in 2010.

A New Year and Jonny was back in the hot seat at "Telegraph Fantasy Football" presenting every Friday during the domestic football season on their on-line channel

Jonny also presented on the National Hockey League (NHL) show, Channel 5

Jonny and the Rugby Greats
Jonny auctioneered at a Rugby Sports Dinner, in aid of the NSPCC, Tour Aid and The Teenage Cancer Trust charity with the likes of rugby legends Jason Leonard OBE and Mike Catt MBE in the audience.
